Bright Nickel Applications
Bright Nickel is a versatile and widely-used plating option in various industries, known for achieving a leveled, ductile, and lustrous finish. Its primary applications are driven by the need for a decorative appearance coupled with enhanced corrosion protection and wear resistance.
Many household items, including hand tools, are plated with bright nickel to improve their aesthetics, durability, and resistance to corrosion. Common examples include plumbing supplies, light fixtures, and wire racks. You may also find bright nickel-plated components on furniture, walkers, and wheelchairs.
At CMT, we specialize in applying Bright Nickel plating to a range of materials, including aluminum, brass, and copper. Our commitment to precision and quality ensures that each item receives a flawless finish and superior protection, tailored to meet the specific needs of your application.

More About Bright Nickel
Nickel plating provides a decorative appearance due to its ability to cover imperfections in the base metal (leveling). Bright nickel deposits also offer better wearability than softer metals like copper or zinc, making it ideal for applications where wear resistance is crucial. Given that nickel is magnetic, it can sometimes be utilized when magnetization is needed. Additionally, because bright nickel plating is a low-stress application, it is suitable for use in the aerospace and electroforming industries, where minimal stress is required.
